Meditate.Even if your body won't bend into all the positions, it doesn't mean you can't still get something out of yoga! Set aside a 15-minute meditative session, then sit somewhere quiet and relax your jaw, face and tummy. Breathe deeply and chant "Ommm" from your tummy.
Sing out. Whether you're in the car, the shower or the kitchen, singing your heart out to a favorite song is a great stress outlet.
Read yourself a bedtime story. Bedtime reading helps distract your mind from wandering and fixating on problems. And unlike watching TV before bed, which can get you revved up, reading can help calm you down.
Clear your space and your mind with feng shui. Call on the ancient Chinese art of placement to get your home in order. Set a timer or decide to work until one project is complete. Even if you're not gung ho for feng shui, cutting through the clutter in your life can feel cleansing and uplifting.
Do the write thing. Take a few minutes to pour your thoughts onto paper. Don't censor or edit yourselfjust write. After releasing all that stuff weighing on your mind, you'll probably feel a little lighter. You may even choose to make journaling a daily habit.
